about

ABOUT THE TRACK
This piece involves extremes of breath, mouth and throat sounds using both an Sony ECM-55 air mic and customized T-30 USAF carbon throat mic. Margaret Cox's voice is recorded on cards with a magnetic stripe, then manipulated in playback using an Audiotronics Tutorette, a device originally used for language learning or speech therapy.

ABOUT MARGARET COX
Margaret Cox loves noises, new instrumental techniques and the design of new instrument interfaces. Her work commonly involves manipulating voice, field recordings, found sounds and electro-acoustic devices.
